Life is a highway...

I want to ride it all night long. Oh wait no I don't--at least not for another 2 weeks! Well we finally made it to the Land of 10,000 Lakes. It definitely has been a wild and crazy week! Chris ran into more problems with his car, and it completely died on him while he was on his way home from work on Tuesday. This happened while I was on my way home from the airport with my Dad, who was an hour late getting in. Now we had just put on 4 brand new tires and gotten an oil change for Chris' on Sunday. Well this whole ordeal caused us to leave late on Tuesday, as we had to take care of getting Chris' car fixed and making sure he got to work. Then as we were getting ready to make the turn around to head back north I realized my purse and camera were still sitting on the kitchen table. Well we finally made it on the road about an hour and a half later than originally planned. Needless to say the rest of the trip went much smoother! Someday I want to take a road trip and not feel pressured to be anywhere at a certain time so I can enjoy the world's largest mushroom or the world's largest ball of twine. Someday--when my two year old is a little older!!!!!!

A lot of Posts!

As Xander and I are about to head out of town and I won't have access to my computer--I wanted to go ahead and post the pics/video from Xander's birthday. I of course haven't figured out how to upload more than five pics, so there are several posts! I also choked and posted them backwards, but I'm sure you'll enjoy nonetheless! I'm going to try to figure out how to post using my cell phone, and if I do, I might be able to upload pics through it while we are gone! Enjoy!

It's My Birthday Part Three!

Mommy this chocolate Wacky Cake with Pudding frosting is the bomb diggity!

What do you mean there are veggies in this cake?!?!?!?
Ha ha--very funny you two! You had me going!

Yeah, so Mommy and Daddy (mainly Mommy)
forgot to wrap and give me my presents after I had my cake and ice cream!
So it was nearly bed time before she remembered! Here I am opening my Mr. potato Head--it is pretty awesome, though sometimes I feel bad when I remove his parts--does it hurt him?

Here is what I have been waiting for--my Thomas the Train set! It is awesome! I haven't quite figured out how to smoothly get the train to go on the tracks, but I am getting it! It probably doesn't help that Daddy set it up on the carpet, but what are you going to do? All in all I had a great birthday! Now Mommy and Daddy tell me that I get to have a party with friends and family in MN at Grandpa Jeff's and Grandma Peg's house! I can't wait! More cake and ice cream! Make it Wacky Cake with Pudding frosting and I'll be there!

It's My Birthday Part Two!

I think this video is pretty self explanatory!
I wish I could have a birthday cake with candles everyday!

It's My Birthday Part One!

Daddy left me this little note to find when I came downstairs!
In case you can't read it, it says "Happy 2nd Birthday Son!"

Here I am opening a gift that came like a week ago (Mommy hid it on me!)
from the Cato Family (I sure do miss them!)!

They got me a cool froggy hooded towel with my name on it,
and this really cool book about animals and the alphabet--which also has my name in it!
Thanks to the Cato's!

Here I am sharing with Daddy the spoon Mommy used
to mix up the frosting for my birthday cake!

It is sooooo tasty!!!

Just a little update!

So I went to the doctor and, as suspected, I am in tip top shape!! After being weighed & measured, and poked & prodded, here's the recap! I am 38.5 inches tall (mommy made them measure me twice--she couldn't believe it), and I weigh 33 lbs and 6 oz. What does that mean? Well I am "off the charts" as far as my height or +99th percentile, and I am in the 95th percentile for weight. The doctor told mommy I was going to be 6 feet 5 inches tall when I am an adult! She also mentioned quarterback football player! I'll keep that in mind!

Not a lot has changed since my last update, but I am speaking many more 3 and even 4 word sentences. My mommy says I am a trip--not sure what she means, but I believe it is a good thing! Speaking of trips, Mommy and I are going to get my Grandpa Jeff from the airport tomorrow and he is going to ride with us up to MN, so we can visit family. I cannot wait!!!

Xander and Landry

So my buddy Landry and I decided that we better get together
to celebrate our 2nd birthdays.
We are only 3 days apart you know.
So we convinced our mom's to bring us to Chick-Fil-A
and then to Baskin Robbins.
Here I am about to open my present from Landry and his family.

Can you believe it?
A rockin' Dora MP3 with book
and a Bearnstein bears DVD!
This is Awesome!!!

Here's my buddy Landry about to open the gift from me and my family!
I won't tell you what we got him,
but let's just say we are going to have some fun down the road.
Oh I can't keep it a secret--
we got him a Build A Bear gift card--he's never been!
I can't wait to bring him there. That is where I got Kitty!

Here Landry and I are checking out the cakes and ice cream in the coolers.

We both decided that we want one of these cakes for our birthdays!
It was a lot of fun hanging with my buddy Landry to celebrate our birthdays
--actually it's always fun hanging out with Landry!!

What's Mommy doin' to me?

So Mommy and I were hanging out last Friday
--cuz Daddy was playing Magic--
and we were having fun with my stacking number cups.
Well then she put the one and two cups on my ears!
I was a little shocked, I wasn't sure I was cool with it, ya know.
Mommy thought it was funny and ran to get the camera!

Mommy was trying to get me to smile,
but I decided to play it cool.

No Mommy, I am not going to play your little game
--I will not smile!

A man has to keep his integrity somehow!
Now, don't tell Mommy but I thought this game was hilarious,
and I am laughing on the inside!
As soon as she put that camera away I smiled and laughed
and shook my head until the cups came off.
Then I had her put them back on like 10 more times!
Good times, good times!
I told Daddy about it on Sunday
and he put the 5 and 6 cups on his ears--pretty funny,
but Mommy wasn't fast enough with the camera for that little gem!!

Loungin' in the pool!

So after a hard day of playing
and napping (me) and mowing (Daddy),
I decided that we needed to cool off in the pool!

Here we are having fun squirting each other
--please note that Daddy has two squirters and I only have one.
You're right that doesn't seem fair.
I'll have to talk to Mommy about that!

Here we are looking cool for the camera!
We had a fun time in the pool,
the water was just right!
We couldn't get Mommy to come in the pool,
but we did splash her pretty good!

Play Cars Daddy!

So lately, I have been super into playing cars,
especially with Daddy--although Mommy likes to also,
but she is not as good at it as Daddy is.

One of my new favorite things to do with my cars
is to race them through the kitchen and living room
in a large circle--I'll call it my race track.
I don't think Daddy likes this game very much though.
Something about his back and knees, but I don't let that stop us!

I love it! Round and round we go!
I get the blue car and Daddy gets the train!

Daddy keeps telling me he needs to rest,
but I just holler "kitchen Daddy!"

See what fun! Maybe I can get Grandpa to
play with me when he comes here!
