Oh what fun!

Well it's been another pretty exciting week here at Casa de O'Brien.
I have been trying to be a really big boy.
Not only am I sleeping in my big boy bed,
but I have been doing my business on the potty.
I have also been sportin' the big boy undies.
Of course because of it, Mommy doesn't seem to put any pants or shorts on me,
and some days I don't even get out of my jammie shirt.
Case in point, check out all the pics below.
She says she will do better and insist that I wear some clothes,
but actually I don't mind too much!

Here I am watching Lilo and Stitch.
It is a pretty good movie, set in someplace called Hawaii.
Mommy says that she and Daddy really want to go to Hawaii.
I told her that I was up for that.
Here I am practicing my hula.

This is pretty much self explanatory--I am a two year old boy.
Sometimes I act silly. This is one of those times.
You are lucky that Mommy caught it on tape.

Daddy took these pics while we were hanging out
(sans Mommy-she was upstairs).
He tried to sneak up on me while I was reading a book,
but I knew he was there.
So I had to pose for him--you know really give him the "CHEESE"!

Here I am making some plans with my Peeps.

I was trying to put my phone in my pocket--oh that's right, NO PANTS!

I decided to surprise the folks this weekend by trying something new.
Here I am rolling with some Corn on the Cob.
It was pretty good. I think I may try it again.

Mommy and Daddy surprised me with a cool
fun house/carnival games play set.
Mommy bought it a couple of years ago for "dirt cheap" at Target,
and we've been storing it in the garage.
Daddy put it together and Elmo and I decided we better try it out.

It is lots of fun, but Mommy did not realize it was going to be so big (hee -hee).
She was hoping to reclaim some of her living room (ha-ha).
Nice try Mommy. Well that's all for now. Keep it real my Peeps! Later!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

So last week was a pretty exciting week!
First Mommy had a birthday (which I'll get to in a minute) and Miss Jennifer had her baby!
His name is Ryan and Mommy and I can't wait to meet him,
and see my old pal, and new big brother, Landry.
But, I digress, back to Mommy's birthday!

Mommy's been playing around with the birthday present
she got from me and Daddy and so she put together these pictures for me.
I'd say she's getting the hang of that Photoshop thing.

This is me enjoying the birthday cake that Daddy surprised Mommy with!
It was YUMMY! It was Baskin Robbins cake called "Brownie a la Mode"!
Mmmmm! You should really try it, and if you do save a piece for me!

Here is the Birthday Girl (aka Mommy)
and Daddy--aren't they cute together?

More of me...

And now for the best part--some birthday video of yours truly!
I know it was Mommy's birthday, but I am just too funny
(according to Mommy and Daddy) so I think you'll enjoy! Later!

I'm a Big Boy Now!

So, it's official! I'm a big boy now!
Mommy and Daddy got me my very own big boy bed and everything!
Mommy also worked very hard and very sneakily ( I might add) to give me a
Cars themed big boy room! I sure was surprised... take a look at the video!

Here are some pictures of my big boy room!

Here is my new big boy bed!
It has some lame side rails on it, but thankfully they fold down.

Another view, note the cool Cars valances.
I know, whoever thought the words
cool and valances could be uttered in the same sentence.

Here is my new big boy dresser--we picked it out from Ikea.
Mommy jazzed it up with some Cars stickers.
Mommy also made the Cars pennant--isn't it cool.
My Auntie Jess made the letters of my name!

This is one of my favorite parts of my room.
Look at all the Cars on my wall.
I know all their names.
Here is another video in case the first one did not thrill you enough!

Here are some more pictures, this time with me in them!!!

Here I am pointing to the Cars pictures on my wall and naming them.

Sitting on my big boy bed!

Checking out the comfort factor. FYI--it is very comfortable!

Acting surprised, so Mommy could get a good picture!

Just being my cute and adorable self!
Thanks for sharing in my excitement over my big boy room! Later!

I cannot believe it!

So, I am pretty proud of myself!
I won a bookmark, a pencil, a certificate and a TROPHY!
Can you believe it? Me neither, until the lady was handing it to me!
Mommy says it is for having 2o books read to me as part of the Texas Libraries
"Deep in the Heart of Texas" Summer Reading Program!
Man that was easy peasy--I love being read to!
Especially at nap time and bedtime.

Man, my first trophy! How awesome is this?
I mean look at it-- all shiny and gold! I say 'keep them coming'!

This is a super great day!!!! Later! I need to bask in my achievements!

Just Me and My BFF

So my buddy Landry and I have been hangin' out some--tryin' to stay cool with all these 100+ degree days. Here are some of the things we've been up to...

While Mommy and I were gone to Minnesota, Landry and Miss Jennifer found this sweet park with a splash/fountain area. Well it seems that the ol' Texas drought caused it to be shut down on the day we decided to try it out with them! Nonetheless Landry and I had fun.

Though runnin' around in the 100+ degree weather sure makes you hot and thirsty,
especially if you are in your swim clothes and covered with sunscreen!

The slide was super fun!

Whee!!!!
We've tried a couple more water/splash parks since this day to no avail,
but Miss Jennifer and Landry found another one with working water--
so hopefully we can COOL off!

Miss Jennifer had to run to a Dr. appointment and
I got lucky because Landry got to come over and play with me!
I always like it when he plays at my house!
All though I wasn't too keen on him messin' with my Cars toys--
Tow Mater and Lightning are off limits (even to Mommy and Daddy!).

Here we are playing with the FP Little People Toys!

Here I am shocked and amazed that he can sing the Farmer in the Dell!
He sure has some awesome musical abilities!
Not only can he sing, but he can play a mean Lego saxophone and trumpet!

Here we are at our very first movie in a movie theater!
Mommy and Miss Jennifer took us to see Kung Fu Panda.

It was nice and cool in the movie theater, but a little too dark!

It was a good movie, and I am hoping Mommy takes me again--
next week they are playing something called Barnyard!
Not sure what that is, but it sounds like good times! Later!
