Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!

I made this page using a template, papers and brads all from the website freedigitalscrapbooking.com. I was trying to enter their monthly challenge, but for some reason could not get the image to upload!

I work hard for the money!

So it was a nice Saturday afternoon.
I was just laying on the couch, minding my own business.
Relaxin' after a crazy morning of playing and running around.

Daddy tells me I need to get moving because we have work to do.

"Work-schmerk!" I tell him.
"I am busy making plans with my peeps!"

"No-- seriously bud, you need to sweep the kitchen!" Daddy says.
I laugh this must be some kind of sick joke.
I'm two, they can't expect me to start working already.
Can they?

Oh, he was serious...

So in order to get through the grind, I did what anyone else would do.
I started singing!
"Hi ho! Hi ho! It's off to work we go!"

"You load sixteen tons, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store"

"Hey hey, the working man, the working man like me
I ain't never been on welfare, that's one place I won't be
Cause I'll be working long as my two hands are fit to use
I drink a little (root)beer in a tavern
Sing a little bit of these working man blues"

Daddy and Mommy both appreciated my hard work and taste in music.
They said because I did such a great job, that I would soon be promoted to mopping.
I'm not sure what that means, but it doesn't sound good! So I told them to...

"Take this job and shove it I ain't workin' here no more
My woman done left and took all the reason I was working for
Ya, better not try and stand in my way
Cause I'm walkin', out the door
Take this job and shove it I ain't working here no more"

Mommy and Daddy tried to hide their smiles and laughter, but I knew that I had them!
Daddy cannot believe my extensive knowledge of old Country songs!
It's true--I am pretty awesome and hilarious!
I like that word. Hilarious!
Man, sometimes I even crack myself up!
Talk to you later peeps!
Oh and don't work too hard!

Silly Daddy!

Hard to believe that these pictures were taken less than a year ago (12/3/08)! I am so thankful for my sweet little boy and wonderful husband! I love you two!

This page template is once again by Jen Caputo, (scrapbookgraphics.com). I rotated it 90 degrees to fit my needs. The papers and tag (repeated 3 times) are from the kit "Harvest Moon" by Melissa Bennett and Amanda Dykan, which came with my Bamboo Craft tablet. The staple (repeated numerous times) is from the "About a Boy" kit by Ellie Lash and Flergs (scrapbookgraphics.com). The font is BaaBook Hmk Bold which is from Hallmark card software I have.

My Little Man

This page was created using a template by Jen Caputo (her designs can be found at scrapbookgraphics.com), a kit called "Angel Baby Boy" by Haynay designs (purchased by my sister from Scrapmatters.com for my birthday-thanks sis). The templates are so easy to use and you can reuse them just like the digital kits. They are my new favorite thing! The poem is by PatsyGaut called My Little Man. As it is very hard to read on the computer--here is what it says. I think it is pretty fitting for my 2 year old!

My Little Man
My little man
You are growing
up so fast and I don't
want to
miss anything

Share with me these
moments and let me
be a part of your
wee life

I will try not to
crowd you and let you
be the person you
choose to be.

Let me come along
for the ride and I will
watch you spread your
wings and fly.

Dewberry Farms Fun!

Daddy, Mommy and myself got in the car one cloudy Saturday morning and headed to a place called Dewberry Farms. It was about a 45 minute car ride through the wonderful Texas countryside. Ok really there wasn't that much to see--some cows, open land and some unexciting buildings, but what are you going to do?

We finally arrived at Dewberry Farms and what happened...Oh the sun decided to come out and really warm things up. Mommy had not prepared for such an occasion and we were all wearing jeans. Oh well--we mustered through and had some hot, sweaty fun! Here's what happened!

First things first, Daddy and I went up on this giant slide. I had a lot of fun riding on Daddy's lap. He said something about his butt hurting him, but mine felt fine! I think Daddy said it was made from PVC pipes--whatever that means. I guess PVC=FUN!

Wheeeee!

Here I am on top of a large stack of hay bales. I am just itchin' to start throwing hay everywhere, but Mommy said that would not be appropriate (She sure can be a party pooper sometimes).

Here I am looking towards Daddy, to see if he is watching me, as I grab a giant handful of hay. Daddy wasn't but Mommy was! Boooo!

Daddy and I are wondering if we can both swing off these hay bales and how hurt Daddy will be if we do it. Needless to say Daddy thought it wouldn't be such a good idea and we just crawled down.

Next we ventured over to this big pile of pumpkins. I wanted to pick up everyone of them, but apparently that was not the thing to do, as Mommy kept telling me to put them down and to turn around and let her take my picture. That didn't seem like fun, so I ignored her!

All these other people were around trying to get pictures to. I guess when all Mommy's see a pile of Pumpkins they think "Oh my child(ren) needs to sit here and let me take his/her/their pictures." Well not this kid.

This is the best she got! Ha! Though, even with a scowl, I still look pretty darn cute! After the pumpkins we went to look at some animals, they were being pretty lazy. I don't blame them, it was pretty hot and I don't even have fur or feathers!

Next we went on a hayride. Basically it a tractor pulling a giant wagon filled with hay. I was unimpressed with the tractor (not like Grandpa's) and the driver (um-not Grandpa). I did kind of dig the hay covered wagon, until Mommy and Daddy once again thwarted my hay pulling and throwing fun. Why do they put these glorious bales of hay on there if you are not allowed to touch them. What a rip!

Relaxing with Daddy, as the hay throwing had already been shot down! Note: We did not even get to pick a pumpkin off of the hayride as the field was apparently too muddy. Too muddy?--I don't think there is even such a thing.

After we got back from the hayride we tried to get a sno-cone, but they weren't ready yet, so Mommy went in search of some cold water and Daddy and I played in a play area. It was pretty fun!

We finally got to have our sno-cone. It was pretty yummy and I made it a point to completely soak the front of my shirt with red sno-cone juice. What can I say it was cold and refreshing all over! After we finished our sno-cones we headed over and did some gold mining. Mommy got this bag of dirt from a very nice lady and we went to town! I found all sorts of really cool rocks and gemstones. Though I really preferred to play in the water.

Over all it was a lot of fun at Dewberry Farms and we did not even do all the activities. We will definitely have to go back and do it again! Later my Peeps!

Here comes the parade!

So it's been awhile since Mommy just posted sweet, sweet pictures of me without fancying them all up with her precious digital scrapbooking! I told her that my peeps need to see me and that they could not wait for her to jazz them up in Photoshop! She finally obliged! What you see here is my first real parade. I actually went to one up in New York when I was 6 weeks old, but as I slept through the entire parade (even the fire engines), this is the first parade I actually saw! I went with my bestest friend Landry, his mommy-Miss Jennifer, his little brother Ryan and of course Mommy. It was a lot of fun!

Landry and I got to ride in the wagon, kind of a tight fit for us growing boys, but we made it work.

The parade was pretty early in the morning, so we had to get our snack on.

Enjoying the parade, but really just wanting to be OUT of the wagon!

This is Ryan, he is smiling at Mommy. She was pretty excited by this. I am not sure how Ryan liked the parade, as I don't think he saw much of it. Also, some stranger asked to hold Ryan. Um hello?!?!?!?!?!--doesn't she know we are not supposed to talk to--let alone be held by--strangers? Come on people!

I kind of enjoyed the fire engines--although they were really loud! It kind of scared me a couple of times, but I didn't let it show!

My buddy Landry is really into musical instruments, so we pretended that our flags were musical instruments. I am playing the flute!

You're a grand old flag,
You're a high flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave.
You're the emblem of
The land I love.
The home of the free and the brave.
Ev'ry heart beats true
'neath the Red, White and Blue,
Where there's never a boast or brag.
Thanks George M. Cohan for that spirited march! I had lots of fun at the parade and can't wait for my next one! Later my peeps!

Pantsless Joe Jackson

As you can see by the above page Mommy made, I now have a tee-ball set. It is pretty awesome. Yes, I am playing in the house, but don't worry I haven't broken anything (yet). I have the hitting part down pat, but the running part--not so much. I do have a lot of fun though, and when it gets (and stays) cooler outside, Mommy and Daddy say we will be able to "play ball" outside. I gotta go, it's my turn at bat! Later!

The "papers" on this page are from the Sugar Bug kit by Ellie Lash. The baseballs and bats were created by me. The font is called Yearbook. --Keesha
