Dewberry Farms Fun!

Daddy, Mommy and myself got in the car one cloudy Saturday morning and headed to a place called Dewberry Farms. It was about a 45 minute car ride through the wonderful Texas countryside. Ok really there wasn't that much to see--some cows, open land and some unexciting buildings, but what are you going to do?

We finally arrived at Dewberry Farms and what happened...Oh the sun decided to come out and really warm things up. Mommy had not prepared for such an occasion and we were all wearing jeans. Oh well--we mustered through and had some hot, sweaty fun! Here's what happened!

First things first, Daddy and I went up on this giant slide. I had a lot of fun riding on Daddy's lap. He said something about his butt hurting him, but mine felt fine! I think Daddy said it was made from PVC pipes--whatever that means. I guess PVC=FUN!

Wheeeee!

Here I am on top of a large stack of hay bales. I am just itchin' to start throwing hay everywhere, but Mommy said that would not be appropriate (She sure can be a party pooper sometimes).

Here I am looking towards Daddy, to see if he is watching me, as I grab a giant handful of hay. Daddy wasn't but Mommy was! Boooo!

Daddy and I are wondering if we can both swing off these hay bales and how hurt Daddy will be if we do it. Needless to say Daddy thought it wouldn't be such a good idea and we just crawled down.

Next we ventured over to this big pile of pumpkins. I wanted to pick up everyone of them, but apparently that was not the thing to do, as Mommy kept telling me to put them down and to turn around and let her take my picture. That didn't seem like fun, so I ignored her!

All these other people were around trying to get pictures to. I guess when all Mommy's see a pile of Pumpkins they think "Oh my child(ren) needs to sit here and let me take his/her/their pictures." Well not this kid.

This is the best she got! Ha! Though, even with a scowl, I still look pretty darn cute! After the pumpkins we went to look at some animals, they were being pretty lazy. I don't blame them, it was pretty hot and I don't even have fur or feathers!

Next we went on a hayride. Basically it a tractor pulling a giant wagon filled with hay. I was unimpressed with the tractor (not like Grandpa's) and the driver (um-not Grandpa). I did kind of dig the hay covered wagon, until Mommy and Daddy once again thwarted my hay pulling and throwing fun. Why do they put these glorious bales of hay on there if you are not allowed to touch them. What a rip!

Relaxing with Daddy, as the hay throwing had already been shot down! Note: We did not even get to pick a pumpkin off of the hayride as the field was apparently too muddy. Too muddy?--I don't think there is even such a thing.

After we got back from the hayride we tried to get a sno-cone, but they weren't ready yet, so Mommy went in search of some cold water and Daddy and I played in a play area. It was pretty fun!

We finally got to have our sno-cone. It was pretty yummy and I made it a point to completely soak the front of my shirt with red sno-cone juice. What can I say it was cold and refreshing all over! After we finished our sno-cones we headed over and did some gold mining. Mommy got this bag of dirt from a very nice lady and we went to town! I found all sorts of really cool rocks and gemstones. Though I really preferred to play in the water.

Over all it was a lot of fun at Dewberry Farms and we did not even do all the activities. We will definitely have to go back and do it again! Later my Peeps!
