1. Being Born (obviously, but I had to put it in here!) 3 days after Christmas we welcomed Molly Kristine and she weighed in at 7lbs 15oz and was 20.5" long.
Daddy cutting the cord!
2. Meeting her Big Brother Xander. He is quite smitten with her and if he doesn't hear her or see her right away, he wants to know where she is. Thankfully he is not THAT fascinated with her, so he pretty much leaves her be and I don't have to worry about him picking her up and such. He is not as much of a helper as I envisioned, but he'll get things for me if I ask.
3. Meeting Grandpa Jeff and Grandma Peg. Grandma actually got to see her be born. Thanks to all who made it possible for my parents to be here for Molly's birth. She also got to meet some of my lovely Mom friends, whom I adore.
4. 1/1/2012 First New Years and Professional Newborn Portraits by the fabulous Nena Metcalf of Nena Metcalf Photography.
5. 1/2/2012 Although she stayed in the car the whole time, this was her first outing (besides the trip home from the hospital and a Dr. visit). We ran a few errands and picked up big brother from school.
6. 1/4/2012 1 week check up. She weighs 7lbs 14oz (almost back to her birth weight) and is 20.75".
7. 1/14/2012 Lost her umbilical stump. I know that this may not seem like a big deal, but when your first kiddo doesn't lose his until he is 48 days old, no that is not a typo, you get kind of excited by her losing hers at 17 days old. So basically what that means is she had her first bath!!!!
8. 1/17/2012 Took Molly to meet Chris' co-workers.
9. 1/21/2012 family portraits at JCP. Thankfully we got them done when we did, as she got the dreaded "baby acne" the very next day.
10. 1/23/2012 Dr appointment to address some projectile vomiting and spit-up problems. Thought to have GERD/reflux. Treatment plan given, but no prescription. Has been better since following treatment plan, no more projectile vomiting, but lots and lots and lots of spit-up. Had to invest in a lot more bibs and burp cloths.
11. 1/28/2012 Molly is officially 1 month old!!!!
Ignore the baby acne, but look at that smile and those chunky cheeks!
12. 1/30/2012 One month check up. 10lbs 5.5oz (75%)-obviously the spit-up problem isn't hurting her weight gain! 22" long (75%) and head circumference is 15.25" (75%). All around good visit and she even smiled at mommy at the doctor's office. She's been smiling since she was born (a lot in her sleep), but between 4 weeks and 5 weeks old she started giving real social smiles!
Well hopefully you won't have to wait as long for her 2 month post, but I'm not making any promises. Also, don't judge me about my blog header, I know I have to update it. :)
