Change--it's a comin'

Just a little note to let my readers--I know there are only a handful of you treasured people, but nonetheless--there will be some changes to the way my blog looks in the next week or so. I am getting ready to personalize it more to my style. Hopefully you will approve, and if not, oh well it is my blog not yours! Keep posting comments too please! I like to read them and it let's me know that you are reading it and sharing in my life!

May is almost done! May is almost gone! Through it all we had some fun!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _I think I am going to watch The Goonies_, tomorrow my plans include _going to help out at a yard sale____ and Sunday, I want to _grill and relax w/ the family__!

Now I know my ABC's!

Xander has been working hard on his ABC's lately and he does a pretty good job. He knows them, but sometimes skips a few (as evident in the video). I have also been trying to teach him which state he lives in and where his grandparents are, as we will be heading there in June! Note the look on his face when I ask him what state he lives in! He is done playing my game!

Daddy's Helper

So Daddy and Mommy decided that they would get each other a grill for Mother's and Father's Day gifts (though I'm pretty sure it was all Mommy's idea--she's been clamoring for one for as long as I can remember)! Well, I decided that I had better help Daddy with the assembly...

Daddy's almost got it! Needless to say Daddy and I did a superb job on the grill! Now all he needs to do is hook up the propane and grill me a hot dog!

Spring is in the air...but it feels like summer already!

I have a life don't I?

I am not sure what my deal is lately, but I have been in a FUNK! Although I am not currently employed in a position outside of the home, I do run a household and take care of and entertain a toddler 24/7. I think I am ready for a vacation...if that sounds silly to you, or you think I am "on vacation" already than you can spend a week in my shoes! Now don't get me wrong I LOVE what I am doing right now, and I wouldn't change it for anything, but for those of you who have never been a stay at home parent than you wouldn't understand. I am "at work" all the time! I don't get time off and sometimes that can be overwhelming and exhausting. I sometimes do not have adult conversations until Chris comes home from work, and then I feel like I am competing with Xander for his attention. So what to do, what to do? Well I have a vacation planned, but not until June when we head to MN. However, I have been turning around some ideas in my head for something that will make me feel like I have an adult life as well as a mommy/wife life! We'll see where that leads, and I'll keep you posted! Thanks for letting me vent--I know I feel a little better!
