Happy Almost Turkey Day!

It is almost Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for!  

I won't bore you with all the the stuff I am thankful for, 

but there are three people that top that list.  

My amazing hubby of almost 13 years, 

my beautiful, silly, smart, energetic amazing little boy 

and the sweet little girl that will be born soon.

Here are some pages I have done recently, and yes I have more P52 pages coming, 

I was working on some just today!  Just need my editor to proof, then you can see!

Not sure if I ever posted the original pages I made with these pics.  I never really liked them, so I made a new page with 

them using the November Ginger Scraps Daily Download by Colie Corner called Thankful for Family.

I made this page for the Twisted Pixels challenge at Gotta Pixels using Camping Adventures by Crisdam Designs.

I used the Star Power kit and a matching Star Power Template both by Connie Prince for this silly page!

This page is made using the new Christmas kit called Wrapped in Ribbons and a 

November 2011 Templatetopia template from North Meets South Studios (aka-Connie Prince and Trixie Scraps).

This was our first trip to a Pumpkin Patch with Xander in 2007.

I actually redid this page using the new Season to Love kit by Crisdam Designs

and a Cluster Your Heart Out challenge template by Mye De Leon.

my loves

We had to take a picture of Chris and Xander for something they were doing at Xander's school.  

Well, you know I always love pictures of my men, my loves, 

and along came this kit by Luv Ewe Designs and Shanmomto4 called Day Trippin'.  

Well the colors couldn't have been more perfect.  

The nice thing about this kit, it is actually a super cool travel kit,

and it will work great when I have pics from our summer travels to MN!

Learning Something New!

It seems that with digital scrapbooking I am constantly learning something new, and this layout is no exception.  I decided to try my hand at making a quick page or QP.  This was for a QPE or quick page exchange at scrapmatters.com.  Not only is this my first QP, but I learned how to put shadows on the elements/papers to make them look more realistic and layered.  I used the So Big kit by Man in the Moon Designs.  I am pretty happy with how it turned out.  I am posting both the QP and then the layout where I used the QP with a photo. Also for doing the QPE I will receive all the QP's from everyone who participated 
(they all used the So Big kit as well).

but some designers also give away QP's on their blogs.

I definitely could see myself making QP's for a "Scrap For Hire (S4H/S4O) 

kind of business in the future.  There are so many possibilities!

March Digital Challenges

Simply Sketchy With Laura

For this page I used the Roman Kit for the Plenty of Personality Super kit by Bella Gypsy.  

The font used is LD Chicken Scratch.  

The template of course came from Laura with simply.scraps.

Element Challenge

For this challenge we needed to use/have curled/torn paper.  

I found a template by Jen Caputo, that did it for me.  

I used the Declan kit from the Plenty of Personality kit by Bella Gypsy.  

The fonts used are LD Architect and LD Dabble.

Elements-Digital Scrapbooking Challenge

I used a template by DigiDiva Designs, which I modified. I used the kit "Loveable" by Crisdam Designs. The element to use in the layout was hearts. I used heart accented papers, heart buttons, floating heart scatters and an "epoxy heart" button. The font used is LDJ Sneezes

By the Numbers Digital Challenge

Template by Connie Prince, and "Love My Boys" kit and alpha by Creations by Rachael. Both available at Gotta Pixel. The challenge was to use 7 pictures, 2 papers, 7 elements (could be used more than once) , 1 alpha and journaling.

Simply Sketchy Digital Challenge-February

Layout template is available as part of the Simply Sketchy Challenge by Laura at Gotta Pixel. The kit I used was "Starcastic" by Connie Prince and the font is CK Template.

January By the Numbers Challenge

This is another monthly challenge for Gotta Pixel. This month you had to use one paper, one picture and 10 unique elements, used only once (get it-- 1/1/10!). The page was created using the kit "Topsy Turvier" by Bella Gyspsy available at gottapixel.com. Font used is Tahoma.

January Simply Sketchy Challenge

I entered this page on the Gotta Pixel gallery/forum for a monthly challenge. They provide the template and you do the rest. I used the kit "Be Mine" by Crisdam Designs (Isabel Mendez) which is available at Gotta Pixel. This picture is a recent favorite of my two favorite people!
